MENTOR PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

As an educator, I have always wondered how will I instil the growth mentality in children. It means how to develop a balanced attitude, to view everything equally. Generally, growth is an indication of progress and a stepping stone for success, but children should be taught to develop a mindset to see even failures as stepping stone.
It is important for us to learn how to measure our advancement effectively. As a teacher, I believe that my role is to help children learn not only how to improve, but also how to identify the factors that helps them to improve both academically & non- academically. Also, we, as educators, need to keep grooming ourselves in order to best raise our students. It is of course an on-going process. Sometimes growth implies change and, in that sense, we should embrace change. For accepting the change, we should learn to let go of past bitter experiences and this attribute should be taught from childhood. This attitude helps to develop a matured thinking from the very beginning.
This kind of evolved mindset helps children to keep going despite the setbacks and failures. They will be able to accept constructive criticism. Over the period of time, children’s capacities and skills can be refined. They become achievement focused. Schools should teach students to see mistakes as opportunities rather than failures. Educators should change their vocabulary while conversing with children. For example, instead of “Your efforts are not up to the mark to score good”, you can say “You put in great efforts to score marks”
In my experience, having such positive approach always will eventually become a way of life where an individual wants to improve himself constantly. It requires conscious and continuous effort to sustain a growth mind set. I strongly believe that educators are the right people to cultivate that in children. Let us continue to contribute towards successful and healthy future generation.

Principal's Message

Warm greetings to all!
‘Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.’
This motto forms the bedrock of all the activities planned at the Glentree group of Institutions.
Learning is an ongoing process; a good learner is one who has the capacity to unlearn and relearn. `In imparting education, we ensure that our students keep the learner in them alive and curious.
The child’s holistic development is the driving force that exhorts us to deliver education that aims to enhance our students’ Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Quotient and Spiritual Quotient. As we consciously nurture their myriad talents, we also encourage them to be self-learners; a student who is self-motivated to learn will be a life-long learner.
At Glentree, we aim to empower our students to become global citizens by providing them with a roadmap to opportunities for a better life through developing their potential.
Our students learn in an enlightened and innovative setting that reflects and embraces today’s world’s social and cultural realities. We offer a wide range of experiential learning opportunities for students to apply their learning outside of the classroom and create transformative experiences that allow them to stretch their thinking, explore new things and make a difference in themselves in the lives of others.
The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate, and we as educators need to pause and reflect on this entire system of Education.” To Motivate the Late bloomers, To mould the Mediocre and To Challenge the Gifted” is our teaching notion for which we strive at Glentree.
