Glentree Academy Whitefield observed Vigilance Awareness Week with great enthusiasm. Our secondary students made their visit as a part of their educational Field trip to the Visvesvaraya Museum, where science and innovation came to life. The museum’s hands-on and interactive exhibits allowed students to engross themselves in the fields of engineering, technology, and invention. The experience went beyond simply viewing displays; it encouraged them to engage actively, This visit was highly effective in achieving meaningful learning outcomes. The Kannada Rajyotsava celebration was a colorful tribute to the culture and history of Karnataka. The students took part in traditional dances, beautiful songs, and powerful speeches which clearly displayed their love and affection for the Kannada-speaking community. The program conveyed the significance of oneness and rich culture which resides in every corner of the state, The event fostered a sense of unity and pride among students, inspiring them to embrace and celebrate their cultural roots.

On the occasion of the Joy of Giving, our secondary students visited the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled. The visit aimed to inspire students to look beyond their own lives and embrace giving as a transformative value. Through active listening and engaging activities, they discovered that true joy lies not in what we possess, but in what we give to others. This experience instilled in our young learners a profound sense of unity, empathy, and purpose, leaving lasting memories of the value of giving. Glentree Academy Sarjapur campus was filled with joy as our Pre-Primary students celebrated Purple Day. The purple color usually indicates Royalty, mystery, creativity and calmness. Dressed in different shades of purple the children looked adorable. There was an array of activities arranged right from tongue twisters to various arts and crafts. Purple Color Day celebrations for young children are a fun way to introduce them to various concepts, that spark curiosity and creativity.

Pre-Primary children came up with a Special Assembly based on the theme: ‘Care for Animals’, so that they understood how to be kind to animals. The assembly incorporated a number of episodes, songs and activities, in which children were encouraged to consider other living beings. This was a wonderful opportunity for our young students to learn valuable lessons about compassion and responsibility toward animals.

This year’s carnival promises an array of thrilling attractions, including Thematic Zones, Marvel of Space, Underwater World, and Art Zone. We also have DIY workshops on Starry Kaleidoscopes, Lanterns etc, fun experiences like Pottery movie screenings and carnival games await you.

Debate Competition was an event that showcased the student's ability to reason and articulate well. Participants were able to make insightful arguments and express them in the most convincing manner. It also encouraged participants to develop critical thinking and to communicate effectively hence making it a very useful event. This also enhances their public speaking skills.

We are proud to announce that Master Athiraksh A., a student of Grade 6B from Glentree Academy, Sarjapur, represented India at the 10th Asian Taekwon-Do ITF Championship 2024, which saw over 600 participants from 18 countries. Athiraksh showcased exceptional skill and determination, winning two gold medals. He secured the first gold in the Individual Sparring competition in the Boys 11 to 13 years, 1st DAN - 45 kg category, and the second gold in the Team Tuls (Pattern) competition in the Boys 11 to 13 years, 1st DAN category. Our students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Academy of Pastry and Culinary Arts, as a part of their Field trip where they were immersed in the process of professional baking and cooking. The field trip was not only an educational experience but also an inspiring one as students also learnt about different ingredients, textures and flavours. The perception of the term cooking was completely changed amongst the students and it instilled in them a greater appreciation for the art of cooking and baking. Inspired by CBSE’s move to promote no-bag day as per the National Education Policy, we at Glentree bucked up for a bagless day on the fourth Wednesday of each month, and that’s what we call Weightless Wednesday. Students do not bring books on that particular day. They engage in activities such as arts, quizzes, sports, and vocational crafts as mentioned in the policy. The activities are aimed at minimizing the roadblocks that connect knowledge that is acquired from books and knowledge that is applied in practical skills.

Weightless Wednesday is an innovative concept where students leave their backpacks behind and immerse themselves in hands-on learning experiences through various activities. Held on the last Wednesday of every month, this event was a delightful surprise for our pre-primary students at Glentree Academy Whitefield campus. They spent the entire day engaged in diverse activities, with their creativity soaring to new heights. The young learners were given ample opportunities to express themselves and explore their interests, making it a truly enriching and memorable day.

Red Colour symbolises passion, love, and vitality. Pre-primary students celebrated Red Day which was indeed a joyous occasion, everyone was filled with full of energy and excitement. Preprimary students wore various shades of red, Classrooms and halls were adorned with red-coloured items, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Fun activities and colourful posters highlighted the importance of the colour red, making it an enjoyable and memorable day for all.

Van Mahotsav was celebrated at Glentree Academy Sarjapur, and the primary students responded enthusiastically to the concepts of conservation and love for nature. The event was filled with fun activities, tree planting, and educational moments on the importance of protecting the environment. Altogether, we fostered a green future by instilling a profound relationship with the natural environment in our young learners.

Glentree Academy Whitefield conducted a Painting Competition for the primary students which was indeed a successful event .. This competition was a great example of a young artist’s remarkable imagination and desire to create something extraordinary. The result of the student's work was no less than a masterpiece. The students of the pre-primary level at Glentree Academy Whitefield were engaged in Creative Thinking and Teamwork (CTT) activity. The idea of conducting such sessions is mainly to cultivate creativity and teamwork among the children by involving them in various team-building activities. All the students thoroughly enjoyed the session, which also demonstrated their ability to coordinate with teams and explore creativity.

Glentree Academy Whitefield had a Fire Mock Drill and Training session to educate the students about fire safety measures. The event included an evacuation drill and a practical demonstration of the actions to be taken during a fire outbreak. The safety experts performed various life-saving skills during the drill. Such drills enhance preparedness and reduce panic during the actual emergencies. This initiative shows the school's dedication to maintaining the safety of its community.

Glentree Academy Whitefield celebrated Global Parents Day with a Special Assembly. It was a wonderful way of paying tribute to the parents. The Assembly comprised many emotional songs and speeches. Students also made presentations that showed their appreciation and gratitude towards their parents. This assembly also strengthened the bond between the school and the parents, emphasizing the crucial role parents play in shaping their children's future.

Glentree Academy Whitefield held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony to officially bestow leadership roles upon the newly elected members of the Student Council for the academic year 2024-25. The event was indeed a celebration of responsibility and dedication. The conferring of the badges and sashes to the council members was the highlight of the whole ceremony.  The Principal, along with the esteemed Chief Guest, and other dignitaries, adorned the students with their sashes It was a pride moment for each student as it signifies their commitment to their respective roles. The event was a resounding success, inspiring everyone to anticipate the positive changes the new Student Council will bring to Glentree Academy Whitefield. 

The investiture ceremony is considered another significant event that is practised in schools. The school hands over some responsibilities to the potential leaders which indeed teaches accountability as they are expected to lead by example and fulfil their duties. We all had the privilege to witness the investiture ceremony of our Sarjapur Road campus, which marked the formation of the Board of Prefects.

During the International Yoga Day celebration, the secondary students of Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road were able to demonstrate their commitment to yoga and love for it through their performances of different asanas. The event highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily routines as a means to enhance our health. The students demonstrated different yogasanas which showed their flexibility. The synchronised dance and their dedication to this timeless art form were truly inspiring, serving as a reminder of yoga's central role in fostering a balanced way of life.

Our PrePrimary students perform Yoga in order to keep up the flexibility and for the growth of the body. Yoga is significant both for the physical and psychological development of the children. At Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road, our young children did various asanas along with Surya Namaskar and meditations. Through this program, they gained profound insights into yoga, simultaneously grasping the significance of physical exercise and cultivating a calm mind from a young age.

Recently, at Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road, coordinated an incredible assembly with well-being elements like yoga. This program was intended to encourage health, physical fitness, emotional health, and overall personality improvement. The young learners actively engaged themselves, and they demonstrated the different yoga postures with great energy and enthusiasm. Our students were more than eager to demonstrate their dexterity and coordination by posing as a human ‘yoga chain’.Regular yoga practice in schools supports children's physical fitness, enhances their focus, and nurtures emotional resilience.

It was indeed heartening to see that the pre-primary students at Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road, celebrated Father’s Day in a very special way. All the kids wanted to express their love for their dads and showed their appreciation to the father by creating incredible pieces of art. Our Whitefield campus recently hosted an Elocution and Storytelling Competition, showcasing wonderful talents and vibrant energy. Students across the grades demonstrated their language proficiency and mesmerized the audience through their dancing and singing. This event was particularly valuable as it allowed the students to build confidence and enhance their public speaking skills. Kudos to the organizers, participants, and winners for their commendable efforts.

We are thrilled to announce that Glentree Academy Whitefield, organized a rejuvenating yoga session for our students. This special event was designed to promote physical wellness, mental clarity, and holistic development among our young learners. Under the guidance of experienced yoga instructors, students engaged in various asanas and breathing exercises to enhance their concentration, flexibility, and overall well-being.

We are pleased to inform you that Glentree Academy Whitefield, recently had a Music Day. The whole day was filled with great music, and the energy was incredibly contagious. Students entertained the audience with various songs there were also some instrumental performances, and the complex dance routines which they pulled off were indeed spectacular. This celebration showcased our young musicians' remarkable talent and highlighted the importance of including music in our lives to enhance creativity and emotional well-being.

Grade 8 students from Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road, organized a special assembly on June 8th to mark World Ocean Day. The Theme for the assembly was "Awaken New Depths". The highlights of the assembly were featured with mime and skit performances. With these performances, the students emphasized the vital role of preserving the oceans and expressing issues like pollution and climate change. They also aimed to inspire their peers to take responsible actions for the preservation of marine life.

At Glentree Academy Whitefield, democracy was actively displayed during the 2024-25 election activities. Students participated by casting their votes into ballot boxes. With their fingers stained blue from voting ink, students celebrated their newfound power and the importance of knowing their rights. The whole process of campaigning until the day of the election indeed highlighted the leadership, responsibility, and democracy which had left a lasting impression on the school community.

The students of Glentree Academy, Sarjapur had conducted their election to select the School Captain for the academic year 2024-25. The students from grade 4 to grade 10 participated in the event actively. During the campaigning of the election enthusiasm shown by the students was simply amazing. The Election was conducted in the school Auditorium, which was neatly arranged with polling agents, election booths, invigilators etc. The students had instilled the feeling of responsibility and understood their role in deciding the future leader of their school. The student's active involvement and understanding of their voting power underscored the event's significance.

Students of Grades 9 and 10 at Glentree Academy, Sarjapur to celebrate 'World Resources an Environment Day', on 5th June. The special assembly began with a prayer, followed by a pledge, story of the week, speeches, news headlines, thoughts of the day, special program, Dance performances, songs, skits, etc. There was also a Q&A session through which students delivered messages about environmental protection and being responsible towards nature. The dedication and inventiveness of our students served as a steady reminder for all of us to be aware of how essential environmental protection is that allows us to take small steps to save our planet "Earth", collectively.

June 5th which is marked as World Environment Day our school came together to celebrate it as an annual event dedicated to promoting awareness and action for the protection of our environment. The theme for this year was "Ecosystem Restoration," highlighting the urgent need to restore damaged ecosystems and encourage practices that contribute to a healthier planet. The day began with a special morning assembly. The Assembly included speeches, and skit. They also took an environmental pledge committing to adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives. Our pre-primary students headed to MM Floritech to explore the amazing world of plants in Bangalore. By Looking at these magnificent seasonal flowers and understanding their importance students were in awe and wonder. On the other side, our UKG kids ventured into the nitty-gritty of aviation history at HAL Museum, Student's jaws dropped at the sight of old aircraft. This Field Trip along with other learning activities facilitated the acquisition of invaluable knowledge but also fostered a sense of curiosity and exploration among our young learners. These memories will be treasured for a lifetime.

Graduation Day - an enchanting celebration of growth, achievement, and endless possibilities. It's a momentous occasion where we commemorate their early years of learning, laughter, and discovery. Our hearts swelled with pride as each child took their place on stage and collected their Graduation certificate, radiating with confidence and joy. It was a bittersweet farewell, as we bid adieu to our Pre-Primary graduates, sending them forth with blessings and well wishes for the adventures that lie ahead.

The Glentree Academy Sarjapur’s Pre-Primary Sports Day turned into a party of athletic prowess and a show of the scholars' willpower and tough work. The occasion evolved into a gathering that brought together students, teachers, parents, and the entire Glentree Academy community. The Pre-Primary Sports Day is a celebration of childhood, where every child is a winner, and every moment is cherished. It's a day where memories are made, friendships are forged, and dreams take flight amidst the cheers and applause of an adoring audience. Overall our little ones showcased their boundless energy and infectious spirit at the Pre-Primary Sports Day.

As the Quote Mahatma Gandhi has mentioned ‘A true celebration of Holi is when we play it with a heart filled with love and a soul drenched in colours." Glentree Academy's pre-primary students had a blast celebrating Holi on March 25th! Students dressed in different ethnic cloths looked vibrant. Students were also engaged in many activities like narrating stories, watching Holi based tales etc. Students played with herbal colours and their laughter echoed in the air creating memories to cherish for lifetime.

Our grade 10 students took off on a thrilling camping trip, near the serene locality of Kanakpura, as supervised by Edoutdoors from the 14th and 15th of March. The expedition was catered to develop the students on the practical side and to the spirit of resilience. They discovered how to lead the art of observing nature to get cues and clues, they kept on honing their skills as well as their problem-solving abilities while enjoying the beauty of nature around them. Post which they were invited to try thrilling activities such as high rope and quake walks. This bonding session in addition to a campfire really allowed students to deepen relationships with both camaraderie and friendship. The campers spent the night in their tents It also led the campers to appreciate all the more the principles of sustainability. This experiential learning approach over-emphasized the concept of 'learning by doing, by which, the theoretical knowledge was translated into practical knowledge in real-world scenarios, whereby these concepts were deeply understood. It was a remarkable journey during which they gained valuable life lessons and experiences.

Jan 25th 2024 - Marked as a Pre-Primary Sports Day at Glentree Academy Whitefield. The theme for the day was awareness and the significance of millet in each one’s dietary habits. The program was not only about revealing the physical talents of young performers but also about educating them about healthy eating habits. student’s introduction included certain narratives mixed with the help of visual presentations to eloquently explain the benefits of eating millet. Children in a kindergarten class captured the attention with their vibrant singing of "Ye Ke Ye Ke", which represented the happy side of harvest, While the UKG students performed the most memorable millet tunes "What Makes You Beautiful" at their turn marks the millets as the unsung heroes in the process of nutrition. The skit presented by LKG students, called "Healthy Eating Habits," was on the road to the consumption of the right kinds of foods, The day also had other activities that combined both entertainment and education elements. Such as "Shroom Sprint Relay," which represented the fast growth associated with the consumption of millets, and "Color Quest Challenge" where participants rushed to pick up colours which represented the different types of nutrients in various millets. The series ended with a grand show with the song "Millet Songs,". The Sports Day of Glentree Academy Preprimary will be a milestone in our school's calendar, the event has left an indelible mark on the students and the spectators as well who are the advocates of believing that millet is a super food for the future.

Counseling sessions in schools are not only important but essential for supporting the holistic well-being and development of students, by providing mental health support, academic guidance, conflict resolution skills, and life skills development. Glentree Academy conducted such comprehensive counseling sessions for Grades 1 to 8. Age-wise counselling sessions were conducted for these grades for example:- for primary students (grades 1-3), including live tours at NASA, and the presence of the rich diversity of Incredible India. The Theme for older ones (Grades 4 to 8) was individual development focus shifted towards personal growth and self-discovery. Grades 6 to 8, emphasised on the importance of kindness, empathy, and responsible digital citizenship. Overall, Glentree Academy's counselling sessions provided a nurturing environment for students to develop essential life skills, cultivate empathy, and build a strong foundation for their holistic development.

On the last day of February, the 29th 2024, The melodies sung by our school children resonated throughout the school grounds, accompanied by the cheers of an enthusiastic audience. The 'After School Program Music United' ensemble of students delivered a diverse array of musical performances., Songs like Believer, Jingle Bells, and Birthday songs were at the top list. The epitome encapsulates the entirety of the dance lesson's progression. Our beloved music club principal passionately articulated the significance of music in our lives. This gathering stands as an unparalleled and unforgettable occasion.

A hiking party of Scouts and Guides were sent to crystal clear Pearl Valley. The young hikers were electrified as they enjoyed the feeling which was filled with excitement and joy. During the hike to the pinnacle, students walked along sandy paths and vast rocks, they were also shimmying through the narrow gaps and climbing on the stairs constructed on the huge boulders. Numerous small cascades dotted the path as we made our way up the trail. The Scouts & Guides Programme served as a part of the study plan After being taught how to pitch tents by a guide, they proceeded to join in a lime juice-making session.. Exploring the picturesque landscape of these boulders was just a small adventure for those with a daring spirit. Uniting the students for this modest excursion brought us immense joy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together

Celebrating our Math Wizards! 'Mathematics is the language of the universe', and our students have made a masterpiece of its speech. Glentree Academy Whitefield welcomed its IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad) winner’s day on March 1, 2024, honouring their stunning results. IMO is a worldwide math competition for school students, whose main purpose aims at encouraging analysis and solving problems. This event of felicitation was a source of motivation for the participants to embrace mathematics and create something similar to the given unsolved problems. Glentree Academy highlighting the IMO upper hand is an example of developing talent in STEM. This would serve in preparing future innovation and societal movements.

On the 24th day of February 2024, Glentree Academy Whitefield cumulated Pre-Primary Graduation Day, an event characterized by the oncoming of a new phase of learning for our young ones. The event was opened by a moving reminiscence presentation after which followed the distribution of graduation certificates. The graduating seniors harmonized the graduation song with the presence of delight and pride in the achievement of their goals. Furthermore, participants had an opportunity to have a tour of the school’s Earth lab, which made them aware of the earth and sustainability issues. As a sign of appreciation, every student received a sow and grow kit with which he or she could carry out an experiment and learn personal responsibility for the environment. This occasion reaffirms the significance of primary school as the major building block for education throughout one’s life. It gives credit to the teachers, parents, and other school members for laying a foundation for good learning. For the students, the acquisitions taken along the way have future-proofed them to embark on further academic journeys that made them step to different milestones in their educational journey.

The First Foot Forward Club of Glentree Academy conducted a Food Fair on 24th February 2024 during their Club periods wherein different food stalls were set up by them. Students used a versatile alternative to traditional cooking methods, allowing individuals to enjoy delicious and nutritious meals in the menu without the need for a heat source which is Fireless Cooking. The Menu included Snacks and beverages prepared by the Students themselves across the grades of 4 to 9. Kudos to the students for efficiently handling the entire event with a high level of professionalism. This Kind of events help them to gain knowledge on aspects of entrepreneurship i.e, Planning, Marketing, Advertising, Executing, Leadership, Collaboration, Innovation and so on. The Aim of First Foot Forward Club itself is all about uniting like minded young entrepreneurs, igniting business ideas and exploring the nuances of it. It exposes the students to Case Studies, Social Entrepreneurship, and Knowledge Sharing. In summary, the event proved to be an enriching educational experience, fostering valuable lessons for the children.

Nursery kids were taken to a Plant Nursery where our little explorers had a fantastic experience. As students wandered through the nursery's lush greenery, they sharpened their observational skills, making them responsible caretakers of the planet. The children learnt about different plants and how they grow. From colorful flowers to towering trees, their eyes lit up with curiosity and wonder at every turn. It was truly a fun and educational day out for our bright young minds.

Black, a color representing depth and mystery. Our little ones looked absolutely adorable dressed in black attire, as they celebrated the color BLACK on Feb 16th,2024. Adding charm to the day were the decorations in the classrooms which created a mesmerizing learning environment for our curious minds. Our tiny tots had insightful and fun-filled day learning about the significance of the color black from understanding the concept of absorption of light to embracing the beauty of simplicity. Let's celebrate the beauty of darkness and the magic of black together.

National Science Day in India is celebrated on the 28th of February and commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman. It highlights the significance of scientific operations. A special assembly was organized by Glentree Academy Whitefield on the 23rd of February - 2024, in which the students were given an opportunity to exhibit their talents based on science. Students showcased many experiments. For example, the popping of balloons with orange peels. Engaging the audience with interesting presentations. They also discussed their thoughts on scientific topics. Extracurricular achievements of some students were felicitated. Through this event, students shared and gained knowledge, and it also inspired curiosity.

Disaster management plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of communities in times of crisis. Scouts and Guides, as organizations dedicated to youth development and community service, often play an active role in disaster management efforts. The Scouts and Guides team of Glentree Academy Sarjapur organized an Event to teach Disaster Management to the students. During this event, students were taught various aspects of how to combat disasters, providing First Aid and different things and types of equipment in the First Aid box, etc. The scouts and guides efforts contribute significantly to saving lives, reducing suffering, and building more resilient communities. Hence to conclude the entire event was very fruitful and effective.

World Water Day is celebrated on March 22 of every year. Grade 1 and Grade 5 students of Glentree Academy, Sarjapur performed a special assembly focusing on the same topic through prayers, speeches, songs, and a dance that emphasized clean water conservation to show the relevance of ensuring sustainable water resources. Grade – 1 students presented a Health and Hygiene themed special assembly. Health is all about being strong, happy and energized! We should look after our physique to remain healthy. Biting into delicious fruit and vegetables, having water to drink, and enough rest make our bodies robust and always ready! Our students addressed these practices through the mode of speeches which were further entertained by the addition of dances and skits. Students organized a Simon Says game to reinforce the main ideas and the audience followed instructions concerning the importance of health and hygiene.

Our Grade-2 Students were taken on an enthusiastic Field Trip - on the 6th of February 2024 to Bannerghatta National Park. Field trips to Such National Park offer a multifaceted studying revel in that promotes environmental consciousness, connects students with nature, and inspires them to become stewards of the environment. These stories contribute to the holistic development of students and play a vital role in fostering sustainable courting among humanity and the herbal world. The field experience at Bannerghatta National Park has now not only sparked their creativity and interest but also instilled a deep appreciation for the beauty and significance of the natural world. National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28th every year to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by the Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman in 1928. The day aims to inspire young minds to pursue careers in science and research, fostering innovation and critical thinking. Student of Grade-6 at Glentree Academy Sarjapur Road, showcased National Science Day on 5th Feb in the Special Assembly based on the theme of “Science of Sustainable Future”. Children performed various activities such as Quizzes, Science as magic, science song etc... The cherry on the cake was enactment of Sir C V Raman by one of the student who was a show stopper. By fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation amongst students India can continue to make significant contributions to the global scientific community.

A field trip to Bannerghatta National Park offers a unique opportunity for students and nature enthusiasts to explore the rich biodiversity of one of India's most renowned wildlife reserves. This was organized on Feb 5th,2024 for all our Grade-1 Students .Before embarking on the field trip, Students were briefed on the park's rules and regulations, safety guidelines, and the importance of respecting the natural environment. Throughout the field trip, educational activities are integrated to enhance students understanding of ecological concepts and wildlife conservation principles, there were also guided discussions on topics such as habitat preservation, biodiversity conservation, and the impact of human activities on the environment. Overall is was an overwhelming experience and a day filled with Joy and discovery.

Glentree Academy’s Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Rachana Heda, took center stage as an eminent speaker at a panel discussion organized by Education Excellence Conclave, focused on "Student Loneliness in the age of AI and beyond...Challenges and Solutions."
